Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including joint replacements and fracture repairs.
- Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols during procedures and patient care.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with coding standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in orthopedics.
Requirements
- Medical degree (PA/ NP) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an orthopedic residency program.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal system.
- Experience with critical care practices related to orthopedic patients is a plus.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization techniques may be beneficial for comprehensive patient assessments.
- Proficiency in medical imaging technologies relevant to orthopedics.
- Ability to collect and analyze data effectively for improved patient outcomes.
- Understanding of radiation therapy principles as they apply to orthopedic treatments is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and staff.
