Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders, providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages. This role requires excellent clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including joint replacements and fracture repairs.
• Utilize medical imaging techniques to diagnose conditions accurately.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols during procedures and patient care.
• Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide holistic care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with coding standards.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in orthopedics.

Requirements

• Medical degree (PA/ NP) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an orthopedic residency program.
• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy and musculoskeletal system.
• Experience with critical care practices related to orthopedic patients is a plus.
• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization techniques may be beneficial for comprehensive patient assessments.
• Proficiency in medical imaging technologies relevant to orthopedics.
• Ability to collect and analyze data effectively for improved patient outcomes.
• Understanding of radiation therapy principles as they apply to orthopedic treatments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and staff.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $60.00 per hour
