Neurology Solutions Movement Disorders Center, an independent private practice, is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant in Austin, Texas
Ideal candidate will have experience in the management of age-related neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson’s. Experience in neurology and/or integrative, anti-aging medicine is preferred but not required.
The successful candidate will join our team consisting of an experienced movement disorder neurologist, nurse practitioner, and physical therapist. Opportunities to expand skills include botulinum toxin injections for dystonia and other indications, as well as deep brain stimulation (DBS) management. We are a well-recognized DBS center and provide on-site training to medical professionals.
Neurology Solutions Consultants PA operates in parallel with Austin Renewal Therapy, offering protocols for optimizing nutrition, sleep, gut health, exercise, metabolic syndrome reversal, and hormone replacement therapy.
Hospital, night and weekend calls are not required.
Base compensation and benefits will be competitive plus productivity and practice revenue bonus.

Job Title: Physician Assistant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Performs comprehensive history and physical examinations following team consistency documentation policies.
● Administers diagnostics, interprets, and summarizes results with reference to optimal metabolism, not just the “normal range.”
● Develops and implements patient management plans and assists in provision of continuity of care with the provider team in mind.
● Performs and/or supervises therapeutic procedures such as deep brain stimulation programming, injections including botulinum toxins, skin biopsies, IV infusions, and lumbar punctures.
● Develops innovative content and counsels patients on therapeutic protocols; reviews sleep study results; optimizing hormones, growth, development and anti-aging nutrition and lifestyle; mitochondrial enhancement supplements; GI microbiome testing analysis; and probiotic, prebiotic and antimicrobial regimens.
● Assists leadership with design, sourcing and/or production of prescription metabolic drinks, foods, and supplements to optimize health and wellness including diabetes/metabolic syndrome reversal protocols.
● Assist the practice as we expand services including Metabolic Optimization Clinic; Prescription Metabolic Foods/Drinks/Supplements; Physical Therapy; Physical Training; Light Therapy/Photo biomodulation; IV Infusion Clinic; Aesthetic Clinic and cosmetic injection procedures.
● Assists with other duties, as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Physician Assistant licensure in State of Texas. Experience in neurodegenerative disorders, aging medicine, and geriatric care. Self-learning/CME should include a passion for anti-aging medicine including optimizing sleep and lifestyle including nutrition, physical and cognitive fitness
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Willingness to perform at least 2 major marketing efforts annually with new and creative content. At least one of these efforts should be a formal presentation. Additional marketing efforts will include content contributions to social media and website blog articles/posts as a shared responsibility with all team providers.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Medication Management Skills
Ability to adjust dosing and ingredients for complex medications including compounded medications and sterile injectables including careful attention to sterile technique.

Preparation and active participation will be expected for various operational meetings, occasionally outside of normal business hours and/or at locations outside of the main practice location. Such meetings may occur 1-2 times per month.
Information Technology Skills
Ability to follow protocols for basic troubleshooting and updating computer software including drivers when needed. Learn how to use and optimize software features to maximize productivity and reduce risk of data loss. Follow protocols for network sharing of documents with other providers, restricting edit access for patients and non-NSC third parties. Collaborate with providers to more efficiently use Athena EMR and technical support to enhance IT systems and resolve issues. Create and optimize EMR templates/workflow for efficiency. Follow protocols for patient documentation instructions for plan of care for consistency between providers. Contribute and optimize shared content for patient care including shared treatment protocols. Collaborate with management using spreadsheets to track productivity, relevant capital costs and/or research data. Avoid accidental data loss whenever possible. Avoid downloading malicious websites and files. Work with IT support staff to keep network secure a minimize risk.

Pay: $110,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
