Nature of Skin Dermatology is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our close knit team. We are a full service dermatology practice providing Medical, Surgical, and Aesthetic services to the Austin community. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and diagnostic skills as well as 2 years of prior experience in Dermatology. We welcome prior experience as a dermatology medical assistant. Physician Assistant Required Qualifications:
Provide patient care under direct supervision of a board-certified dermatologist.
- Assures that medical record documentation of care meets established clinical quality and compliance standards.
- Assures that the patient’s treatment is monitored and coordinated in concert with the Organization’s clinical policies, and guidelines.
- Contributes to physician’s effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
- Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health maintenance
- Surgical / Suturing Experience
- General Dermatology (Extensive knowledge in dermatological disorders, skin cancer / full body checks, abnormal mole, rashes, shave biopsies, excisional/surgical procedures.
Physician Assistant Required Responsibilities:
- Treating various skin diseases, rashes and abnormalities, Skin Cancer and abnormal mole screenings, performing physical examination on patients’ medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting lab tests, reviewing pathology reports, diagnosing and treating illnesses, surgical dermatology, prescribing and dispensing medication, and counseling patients.
- Dermatology procedures: Biopsies, suturing, excisions, incision and drainage
Job Type: Part Time with opportunity to grow into full time
