About the Role
As a Physician Assistant at NextGen Medical, you’ll provide care to a diverse patient population, including both primary care and occupational injury cases under the Department of Labor (DOL). You will work closely with a collaborative, high-performing medical team and have opportunities to grow your clinical skills in minor procedures and integrative care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary and occupational healthcare services to patients of all ages
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Conduct physical exams, functional assessments, and DOL injury evaluations
- Create and execute personalized treatment plans
- Perform minor in-office procedures such as joint and trigger point injections
- Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications within Texas scope of practice guidelines
- Maintain accurate, timely charting in the EMR system
- Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with specialists when necessary
- Ensure proper documentation for all DOL-related cases
- Participate in team meetings, quality improvement processes, and case reviews
- Stay up-to-date with continuing education and training
Qualifications
- Current Texas Physician Assistant License (Required)
- NCCPA Certification (Required)
- Active DEA license or willingness to obtain
- Experience in family practice, urgent care, or occupational medicine preferred
- New PA or NP graduates are encouraged to apply – mentorship and training available
- Skills in joint or trigger point injections are a plus
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
- Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills

Pay: $118,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
