**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced psychiatric nursing skills and experience in diagnosing, treating, and prescribing psychotropic medications in a psychiatric setting. Working collaboratively in a private practice environment, the Psychiatric Nurse will play a crucial role in providing mental health care to patients of all ages.
**Duties:**
– Diagnose and treat patients with mental health disorders
– Prescribe and/or recommend psychotropic medications
– Collaborate effectively with Nurse Practitioners, Office Managers, and Medical Assistants
– Attend weekly team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment plans
– Conduct physical examinations and pain management interventions
– Assist in discharge planning and utilization management
– Utilize knowledge of anatomy, catheterization, spinal tap procedures, and ophthalmology
– Familiarity with Cerner system for electronic health records
**Requirements:**
– Valid nursing license with specialization in psychiatric care
– Experience in Psychiatry settings is preferred
– Strong understanding of assessment and medication management techniques
– Proficiency in discharge planning and utilization management
