Full Job Description

Amarillo Urgent Care is seeking full time or part-time board certified Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioner to work in Amarillo Area.

As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to provide medical consultation, assessment and treatment of Urgent Care patients.

Objectives

  • Provide patients and their family with a customer focused, friendly, reassuring and open environment that encourages patient participation in health care decisions.

Job Duties:

Provide compassionate pediatric and adult patient care, diagnosis, and treatment for most acute illnesses and injuries, including but not limited to:

  • Comfortable seeing ages six months and up
  • Identify abnormal conditions by conducting or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpreting the results effectively.
  • Provide a wide range of clinical services to pediatric and adult care including treatment of acute conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
  • Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills to identify more serious conditions and direct patients to ER when necessary.
  • Providing effective patient communication and education.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes

Skills Required

  • Unrestricted registered NP or PA license in the state of Texas
  • Graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice Practitioner program
  • 1 years of clinical experience preferred
