Amarillo Urgent Care is seeking board certified Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioner to work in Amarillo Area. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and want to be a part of a dynamic team providing care in Urgent Care setting , this could be for you!
As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to provide medical consultation, assessment and treatment of Urgent Care patients. You have to work along with another provider as job required two providers most of the time.
Objectives
- Provide patients and their family with a customer focused, friendly, reassuring and open environment that encourages patient participation in health care decisions.
- Encourage a work environment that is friendly and respectful.
Job Duties:
Provide compassionate pediatric and adult patient care, diagnosis, and treatment for most acute illnesses and injuries, including but not limited to:
- Comfortable seeing ages six months and up
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Identify abnormal conditions by conducting or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpreting the results effectively.
- Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries to include: pediatric and adult care; I&Ds; suturing, etc.
- STID exams and treatment
- Point-of-care testing
- Physical examinations
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes
- Providing effective patient communication and education

Skills Required
- Unrestricted registered NP or PA license in the state of Texas
- Graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice Practitioner program
- 1-year experience is prefer
