Role- Physician Assistant

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing support and services under the direct or indirect supervision of a Physician
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and obtain detailed medical histories from patients.
  • Assessing the condition and needs of a patient based on interviews, interactions, and observations
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate management plans.
  • Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Documenting patient care and compliance with quality standards
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Developing rapport with patients and families and providing education
  • Ordering and conducting medical investigations under the supervision of a Physician
  • Performing selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Ordering and interpreting patient laboratory and radiological results
  • Completing any mandatory training outlined
  • Interact with patients with empathy, compassion, and respect
  • Keep all license and certifications updated

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure to practice medicine.
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient care and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven work experience for at least 2 years as a Physician Assistant in Family or Internal Medicine
  • References required
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Results-oriented work ethic and ability to undertake tasks needed to accomplish work objectives
  • Ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Ability to multi-task and troubleshoot with creative thinking
  • Excellent work and attendance record
  • Excellent initiative and independent judgement

Additional Responsibilities on an as needed basis:

  • Assist with rooming patients, taking vitals, performing CLIA waived labs, blood draws, EKG’s, and administering injections.
  • Scan and attach documents to patient files as needed
  • Fulfill medication refill requests according to practice protocol
  • Address and resolve all requests presented through the phone/voice messages, portal, and fax within 24 hours
  • Assist with processing referrals
  • Maintain a friendly rapport with staff at places of referral
  • Fax paperwork as needed
  • Be an advocate for all services provided by the company and aid in marketing when needed
  • Interact with all vendors and company representatives in a professional and friendly manner.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $56.37 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
