OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospice palliative medicine, senior care, and acute pain management. This role involves working closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics and nursing homes. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and performing medical procedures.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform medical procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and ventilation as needed.
- Manage acute pain management strategies for patients.
- Provide care in hospice palliative settings to enhance the quality of life for patients.
- Collaborate with nursing home staff to ensure continuity of care for residents.
- Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical principles related to patient care.
- Experience in hospice palliative medicine, senior care, or similar fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and ventilating patients.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
