OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospice palliative medicine, senior care, and acute pain management. This role involves working closely with physicians to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics and nursing homes. The Physician Assistant will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and performing medical procedures.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Perform medical procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and ventilation as needed.
  • Manage acute pain management strategies for patients.
  • Provide care in hospice palliative settings to enhance the quality of life for patients.
  • Collaborate with nursing home staff to ensure continuity of care for residents.
  • Educate patients and their families about health management and disease prevention.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong knowledge of physiology and medical principles related to patient care.
  • Experience in hospice palliative medicine, senior care, or similar fields is preferred.
  • Proficiency in performing procedures such as suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, and ventilating patients.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
