Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. This role is essential in supporting patient management, conducting examinations, and assisting in various medical procedures while adhering to the highest standards of medical ethics and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- As a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, you will provide services in inpatient and outpatient setting, including managing, planning, and coordinating of all aspects of care for patients
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including complete medical histories and physical examinations
- Record and interpret pertinent data (i.e., labs, diagnostic studies, progress notes, etc.), including writing orders
- Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients in collaboration with the supervising position
- Serve as surgical assist as required (for PA or certified nurse FA)
- Write progress notes, collate records utilizing the electronic medical record
- Coordinate ongoing overall patient care with physician, staff, nursing staff and other ancillary care providers to ensure treatment plans are implemented
- Maintain communication with patients and families regarding care
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the care process
- Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in training programs and educational opportunities.
Position Schedule: Monday – Friday
Qualifications
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Proficiency in medical coding for accurate documentation of services provided.
Requirements:
· Education: Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program
· Board Certified
· License: State of TN
· BLS Certification
· Experience: 2 years (Preferred)
