The role of the Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner entails the planning and management of primary healthcare delivery and health education programs. The incumbent is responsible for providing care and health education to patients and their families, and is expected to exemplify appropriate behavior in accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MLH.

**Position Overview**
The Nurse Practitioner assumes responsibility for orchestrating the delivery of primary healthcare and associated health education programs. This individual will provide medical care and educational resources to both patients and families while modeling behaviors consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of MLH.
**Key Responsibilities**
– Assess, diagnose, and treat patients within the designated center, adhering to approved protocols and accepted standards of care.- Conduct necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in alignment with established, written protocols, developed in collaboration with the Medical Director or supervising Physician. Involvement in the design and revision of such protocols is anticipated.- Collaborate effectively with Medical Physicians and ancillary personnel to enhance the quality of patient care, including making appropriate referrals when necessary.- Recognize and respond appropriately to environmental safety factors that may impact patient care.- Comprehend, implement, and uphold practice policies, procedures, goals, and standards.- Foster strong partnerships with patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and support staff, with a focus on patient and family satisfaction and retention.
**Education and Training Requirements**
– Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice Nursing- Master’s Degree in Nursing- Doctorate in Advanced Practice Nursing
**Work Experience Requirements**
– A minimum of 3 to 5 years in general nursing or clinical practice.
**Licenses and Certifications**
– Advanced Practice Nurse licensure in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas as sanctioned by the respective state Boards of Nursing.- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.- Registered Nurse licensure in Arkansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee.- Nurse Practitioner certifications from recognized entities such as ANCC, AANP, AACN, PNCB, and NCC.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
– Proficient application of advanced concepts, principles, and professional techniques within a specialized nursing field.- Valid DEA number, if mandated by the facility.
**Supervisory Responsibilities**
– This position does not entail supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
**Schedule**
– Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM- Night call shifts available from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM- Specialization in Cardiothoracic Surgery
**Team Structure**
– Comprising four surgeons and four Physician Assistants.- Utilization of Epic Electronic Medical Records.- Paid travel and associated expenses provided.

Pay: $110,958.00 – $116,770.00 per year
