Our TOA Physician Assistants/ Nurse Practitioners play an important part in the daily operation of our clinics. This role partners with other clinical staff and administrative team members to ensure our patients receive excellent care. Our Nurse Practitioners/ Nurse Practitioners demonstrate a deeply rooted compassion for helping our patients and are committed to making sure our patients receive excellent care.

General Summary: An exempt position responsible for treating patients under the supervision of an Orthopedic Surgeon.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and triage orthopedic patients under supervision of Orthopaedic Surgeon
  • Follow specific protocols
  • Able to work independently
  • Experience reading orthopedic x-rays, MRIs and other diagnostic studies
  • Able to recognize and follow post-operative protocols and/or potential post-operative complications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Four years of health care experience prior to applying to NP program, plus one year of experience as NP, preferably in clinic setting. Splinting and casting experience, preferred.
  • You have an exceptional focus on the patient experience. You are passionate about providing excellent care to our patients and their families.
  • You are energetic and have an enthusiastic pace at work. You are able to swiftly and accurately manage the flow of patients, without losing focus on patient care.
  • You are flexible. You understand that no two days may be the same. It excites you to adjust to those changes.
  • You are dependable. You have the capacity to be at work on time, every day so our patients can receive the care they need in a timely manner
