The Knoxville campus of the South College Physician Assistant Studies program is actively seeking highly motivated, team-oriented individuals to join its experienced team as an adjunct faculty member. The PA Program offers a very competitive salary, excellent benefits package including 401(k) matching, and ample opportunities for professional growth and development. The Program is proud to offer modern, new facilities with a robust simulation and ultrasound curriculum.

General Responsibilities include:

  • Provide instruction for graduate-level human anatomy and/or physiology courses within the didactic curriculum, participating as Course Director as directed
  • Assist with instruction for public health, evidence-based medicine, and research methods and design during the didactic curriculum, participating as Course Director as directed
  • Assist with instruction and support for students’ research-based Capstone projects during the clinical phase of the curriculum
  • Participate in the evaluation and development of curriculum
  • Participate in committees at the department and college levels
  • Participate in the admissions process for the PA program
  • Participate in the continuous self-assessment and evaluation of the PA program
  • Mentor and advise students from matriculation to graduation
  • Participate in scholarly and research activities
  • Participate in ongoing accreditation activities

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree required; PhD preferred
  • Preference given for those with 3 years or more of teaching experience in higher education

Preference given for those who have experience in performing statistical analyses for graduate-level research
