South college Master of Health Science Physician Assistant Program in Knoxville, Tennessee seeks a dynamic Physician Assistant with a strong background in pharmacology for an academic faculty position.

Applicants must have a minimum of a master’s degree and hold or be eligible for licensure in Tennessee. PA candidates must be NCCPA certified. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong leadership skills, a minimum of three years of clinical practice, and have a collaborative work style to complement our team environment. Teaching experience is strongly preferred. This is a non-tenure track position.

As members of the program faculty, the individual’s role will include:

  • Coordinating, teaching, and evaluation effectiveness of assigned courses in the didactic/clinical curriculum
  • Participating in the coordination, instruction, and evaluation of students’ clinical skills
  • Academic advising and mentoring of students
  • Participating in program administration including but not limited to accreditation, admissions, faculty meetings, professional development, and grant activities
  • Active clinical practice (one day of clinical release time per week is allotted)
  • Participating in state and national professional activities
  • Overseeing of student scholarly projects/volunteer work
  • Using learning technology
