Our client seeks a dynamic, experienced Physician Assistant to provide advanced wound management services to patients in their residence.

Job Summary:

The In-Home Wound Care Physician Assistant provides advanced wound care management services to patients in their residences. The PA performs comprehensive wound evaluations, initiates treatment plans, conducts procedures such as debridement, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal healing. This position is ideal for clinicians who are autonomous, patient-centered, and experienced in managing complex wounds in home settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-home evaluations of acute and chronic wounds (e.g., pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, venous/arterial wounds, surgical wounds).
  • Conduct wound measurements, staging, and detailed documentation.
  • Perform wound-related procedures including sharp debridement, application of advanced dressings, and use of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT).
  • Develop and update individualized wound treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence-based protocols.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications, dressings, and durable medical equipment (DME).
  • Order and interpret relevant diagnostic tests (e.g., wound cultures, labs, imaging).
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound care, prevention, and follow-up instructions.
  • Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, home health agencies, and other clinical support staff.
  • Accurately document all visits and procedures using an EMR system in accordance with compliance standards.
  • Monitor healing progress and adapt interventions to optimize outcomes.
  • Participate in wound care quality initiatives, staff training, and clinical case reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and unrestricted PA license in Tennessee.
  • NCCPA certification required.
  • Valid DEA license
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of PA experience, preferably in wound care, home health, surgery, or internal medicine.
  • Proven ability to work independently in home-based or field environments.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the designated service area.
  • Certification in Wound Care (e.g., CWS, WCC, CWCA) strongly preferred

Pay: $115,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
