Full Job Description
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT A LICENSED APRN, NURSE PRACTITIONER OR PHYSICIAN’S ASSISTANT IN SOUTH DAKOTA.
We are looking for a compassionate Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician’s Assistant to join the My Marijuana Cards Team to provide medical screening of patients seeking medical cannabis certification.
In an effort to reduce the stigma surrounding cannabis and provide access to care, My Marijuana Cards positions itself as a trusted partner in the cannabis industry for people seeking a premium medical service experience.
My Marijuana Cards has revolutionized the healthcare industry as we know it – changing the way our clients, community and practitioners interact with the cannabis community. In this essential industry, it is important to prioritize dignity and ease of access to alternative medications.
In order to achieve this, the practitioner’s role is to streamline the process for medical cannabis patients to receive their medical cannabis certifications. The scope of this work for this healthcare provider includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Completing physical patient examinations
- Verify that patients suffer from a state-approved qualifying condition for medical marijuana
- Simple EMR Charting
- Provide a recommended treatment plan for qualifying patients
- Completing the patient medical cannabis recommendation and validating for one full year. (This is NOT a medical marijuana prescription. Since marijuana is classified as a Schedule I Drug, medical marijuana prescriptions are illegal in most states)
- Performing any necessary follow-up consultations within the full one-year validation period of patient certification
- Inform patients of the risks associated with medical cannabis use
- Remaining up-to-date on the state’s medical cannabis program regulations
Flexible hours – Set your own schedule
- Patient appointments are booked via our website and call center based upon our practitioners’ availability. Those patients are then seen for an in-person evaluation by the practitioner at our South Dakota offices in Sioux Falls
Requirements
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician’s Assistant (PA)
- MUST BE CURRENTLY LICENSED in the State of South Dakota
- No prior punitive infractions on your ability to recommend controlled substances
- Unrestricted DEA license
Please submit your resume and best contact number if you meet these qualifications and our team will be in touch.
