Charleston Nephrology Associates, LLC is a leading nephrology practice in the Lowcountry dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality kidney care. We are currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in delivering exceptional care across our office locations, dialysis units, and affiliated hospitals.
Position Summary: This is a salaried position responsible for the independent and collaborative practice of medicine under physician supervision. The NP or PA will provide a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and disease management in nephrology. This role requires direct patient care and includes office, dialysis clinics, hospital rounds, and weekend call.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic kidney-related illnesses.
- Develop individualized care plans, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on treatment plans and patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system, compliant with regulatory standards.
- Participate in administrative tasks, team meetings, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Flexibility to adjust schedule based on clinical needs, including weekend and on-call coverage.
Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
- NP: Master’s degree in Nursing; licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in South Carolina.
- PA: Bachelor’s degree and completion of masters degree program with accredited PA program; licensed in South Carolina.
- Current CPR certification required.
Experience:
- 1–6 years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in nephrology, internal medicine, or hospital medicine.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
