Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various settings. This position requires a strong foundation in internal medicine, pediatrics, and clinical research, with an emphasis on compassionate care and effective communication with patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Perform esthetic laser treatments and other procedures as necessary.
- Administer gastric lavage and manage patients requiring inhalation therapy.
- Operate neonatal ventilators for critically ill infants when applicable.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient care practices.
- Educate patients and families about health management and preventive care strategies.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a teaching hospital environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of internal medicine and pediatrics; experience in inpatient settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatments is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high standard of care.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical education.
