Full Job Description
Carolina Allergy and Asthma Consultants are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Allergy and Immunology team. Become part of a compassionate and dedicated team of Allergists and Advanced Practice Clinicians delivering high-quality care. The qualified candidate will be providing care in the Columbia, SC region, at our practice’s 3 locations. This position offers a competitive salary with opportunity for advancement along with health insurance, 401K, paid CME leave, PTO & 8 paid holidays.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide direct patient care to pediatric and adult allergy and immunology patients in outpatient setting to include testing, medications, and injections.
- Collaborate with attending physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and ongoing care needs.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in allergy and immunology care through continuing education, research, and professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current South Carolina license for a Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- One year of allergy experience is preferred but not required
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
