Prisma Health is seeking a board-certified Physician Assistant (PA) with trauma surgery experience for a locum tenens opportunity in South Carolina. This is a great opportunity for providers looking for consistent day shifts and a structured schedule in a high-acuity trauma environment.
Position Highlights
- Schedule: Day shifts only (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, 11-hour shifts)
- Preferred Schedule: 7-on / 7-off (minimum of 3 consecutive shifts)
- No Call Required
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Patient Volume: 10–12 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
- All travel expenses billable and covered
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide care in a trauma surgery department (primarily adult patients, occasional pediatrics)
- Participate in trauma transfers from outside facilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Level I–IV trauma setting
- Note: Burn patients are transferred out.

Requirements
- Board Certified Physician Assistant (Trauma Surgery)
- Active South Carolina license (highly preferred)
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
- ATLS
- PALS
