Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel contract in Charleston, SC, with on-call requirements and experience in complex interventional cardiac procedures.

Details

  • Cath Lab unit with 5 procedure rooms plus a Hybrid OR
  • Cases include Right and Left Heart Cath (Diagnostic), PCI, Complex PCI, CTO, ASA, PFO/ASD, MitralClip, Watchman, PTMV, TAVR, Peripheral, and Vascular procedures
  • Scrub experience is preferred
  • Schedule is 4×10-hour day shifts, 7:30am–6:00pm
  • On-call required 1–2 nights per week, one weekend per six-week period, with possible holiday call
  • EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

Requirements

  • Active SC RN license or compact/multi-state RN license required; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered
  • Current AHA certifications required: BLS and ACLS
  • Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab RN experience required
  • SSN and Driver’s License required for consideration
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • Radiation badge must be provided by the staffing agency

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel rate; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
  • Non-local candidates are given priority consideration
  • Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
  • Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the assignment begins
  • During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
