JOB OVERVIEW: Nurse practitioner, physician’s assistant.
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
The provider (nurse practitioner or physician’s assistant, aka advanced practice provider) will educate patients using a foundational approach on how to create a lifestyle that promotes wellness.
The provider will work under the supervision of the medical director. The APP provides patient care; conducts physical exam; completes health history summary; documents patients’ progress and assists with patient care management.
POSITION OVERVIEW/QUALIFICATIONS:
- The individual must hold an active license in good standing to practice in the state of Rhode Island and hold a valid DEA license.
- Insure CAQH profile is current.
- Provide motivational coaching to clinic patients in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Obtain and review patient’s medical history information relevant to patient care.
- Conduct physical examinations.
- Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for prescribing FDA approved appetite suppressants according to state and Federal guidelines.
- Reviews patient progress and manages patient care accordingly.
- Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management.
- Conducts patient consultations.
- Documents patient progress notes in the electronic health record in a timely manner.
- Performs other clinical duties as required.
- Conducts follow-up calls to patients to discuss progress and address any concerns.
JOB TYPE: Part time, approximately 15 hours per week with room for expansion as the clinic grows but willing to be flexible.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with experience.

Pay: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour
