Join the Express Clinic of a Community Health Center located in the Greater Providence Rhode Island area. Become part of a team that believes that all patients deserve the highest quality of care regardless of their circumstances. They are looking for a PA or FNP with expereince in an Urgent Care or ER setting.
Be part of the Express Care team will you will see all ages, treating flues, colds, ear aches and performing minor office procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and treat urgent and non-urgent conditions in patients of all ages while communicating with their primary care provider as often as needed.
- Assess patient health through interviews and physical examinations, including virtual care.
- Prescribes and/or administer appropriate medications, treatments, and perform procedures included in their privileging including: suturing, routine cryosurgery, I & D of abscesses and paronychia, foreign body removal, and wound care including appropriate local anesthetic administration
- Follow up on any labs, consultations, or imaging orders
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
- Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
- Counsel patients about drug regimens and possible side effects or interactions with other substances such as food supplements, over-the-counter medications, and herbal remedies
- Coordinate and assist when needed with the patient’s PCP in the management of chronic conditions.
Qualifications for this position:
- 2+ years working as a licensed PA or FNP in a similar setting
- Graduate of an accredited program with a RI license
- Urgent Care or ER expereince
- Spanish or Portuguese a +
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year
