Clinician, liaison, and patient advocate describes an Advanced Practice Provicer. As an APP, you will work under the supervision of the physician/surgeon, and perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks to allow the physicians to extend their services through the more effective use of his/her knowledge in the sphere of decision-making required to establish diagnosis and to plan therapy of their patients. You may assist in gathering the data necessary in implementing the therapeutic plan of the physician/surgeon. You will see patients independently in the Outpatient Clinic. The work you do makes a tremendous impact!

Position:
Physician Assistant, PA / Nurse Practitioner, NP – Gastroenterology
Shift:
Full Time, 40 hours/week. Monday – Friday 8 hour day shift. No weekends or Holiday’s
Experience:
1. Two (2) years experience as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Required.
2. One (1) year experience in Gastroenterology Required.
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary environment.
Education:
1. Completion of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program required.
2. MSN Required.
Licensures/Certifications:
1. Must be certified by the NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) or Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner.
2. Active license with Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure.
3.Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross).
4. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved.
