Full Job Description
Romano, Pontzer & Associates is a hospital based infectious disease medical practice; therefore, you will likely spend all of your time in the hospital working alongside our well-established physicians diagnosing and treating patients. We practice at UPMC St. Margaret, UPMC Passavant, and Encompass Health in Harmarville but these locations are subject to change. Currently, APPs only see patients at Passavant and St. Margaret in the hospital with no outpatient schedule.
Time Expectation:
Our APPs are required to assist in weekend call. You will get weekdays off for working weekend days. APPs are compensated higher for more weekends worked. The vast majority of days are 8 hours or less.
Benefits and Pay:
Romano, Pontzer, & Associates, Limited will pay a salary range of 90,000-110,000 per year for your services. This will be processed through payroll and paid in biweekly increments. We offer health, dental, and vision benefits for you at no cost. You can purchase coverage for family members at the cost of their premium. You will be provided with a smart phone to use as your own personal phone and you are expected to have it with you at all times when working. Malpractice insurance will be provided to you at no cost as well. Romano, Pontzer & Associates offers a profit sharing/401K retirement plan and more information about that is available upon request. Also, all credentialing and licensing fees will be paid for by the practice. All reasonable CME expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $1,000 per year but must be approved prior to scheduling. Finally, you will be provided with three weeks of paid time off for vacation and one week of sick time.
Requirements of Employment:
-Active unrestricted license in Pennsylvania
-Board Certification as PA-C or NP-C
-No experience needed but preferred
-New Graduates applying for license or taking boards this summer should apply
