Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and compassion in managing patients with a wide range of emergency medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in patients of all ages.
  • Perform a variety of emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, and joint reductions.
  • Collaborate closely with emergency physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical judgment.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification by the NCCPA.
  • Active Pennsylvania PA license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills will be considered.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $112.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
