Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (PA-C)

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, teamwork, and compassion in managing patients with a wide range of emergency medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in patients of all ages.
- Perform a variety of emergency procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, incision and drainage, and joint reductions.
- Collaborate closely with emergency physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical judgment.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the NCCPA.
- Active Pennsylvania PA license (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills will be considered.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
