JJob Title: Physician Assistant – Urgent CareLocation: Philadelphia, PAPosition: Full-Time
OverviewAn established urgent care center in Philadelphia is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full-time. The PA will provide patient-centered, quality care in a fast-paced environment, working alongside experienced healthcare professionals to meet the urgent care needs of our community.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient evaluations and manage a wide range of urgent care cases, including injuries, minor illnesses, and other non-life-threatening conditions.
- Conduct basic urgent care procedures, such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care.
- Work 12-hour shifts in a team schedule, including every other weekend, to provide consistent care to patients.
- Must be comfortable seeing 4 patients an hour during their shifts.
- Accurately document patient encounters and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
Requirements
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in Pennsylvania.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in an urgent care or emergency care setting.
- Skills: Proficient in common urgent care procedures and capable of handling cases independently.
- Certification: Ability to obtain a DOT (Department of Transportation) certification within 6 months of hire.
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends as part of a team schedule.
