American Family Care is one of the largest Urgent Care systems in the nation with over 400 clinics. We are looking for a Physician Assistant for our Levittown location to provide outstanding patient care and urgent care services. This is a position with full benefits including Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, PTO, 401K match etc.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment. All medically related functions performed by a nurse practitioner are to be performed under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal and Performs therapeutic procedures such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care.
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as appropriate. Refers patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as needed.
- Counsel and follow-up patient care.
Required
- A Master’s degree (MSN)
- Board Certification.
- 2 to 3 years Clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine or Family Practice setting is required.
- DOT certification – The candidate should either have it or will need to complete within 2 months of joining.
- Well versed with federal, state and PA laws and regulations including the requirements of the HIPAA and OSHA.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Be well-organized and demonstrates a clear understanding of the patient needs.
- Team player who maintains excellent working relationships with rest of the staff.
- Focus and drive to complete goals and go beyond the everyday responsibilities.
- Follows standards of business conduct and compliance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65.00 – $80.00 per hour
