Physician Assistant Assessment & Enrollment Counselor

Position Summary and Qualifications:
The Physician Assistant Assessment & Enrollment Counselor will coordinate data collection and analysis for accreditation and program assessment including: • Student learning, i.e. student achievement of outcomes, both programmatic and inter-professional, in aggregate and at the individual student level • Curricular effectiveness of both didactic and experiential coursework • Achievement of mission, i.e. desired outcomes of the program in research and scholarly activities, service, and mentorship of students  Coordinating SJU Physician Assistant Program’s admission-related functions, including: • Fielding admissions inquiries • Transcript evaluation • Candidate correspondence • Candidate review processes • Interview-day coordination • Arranging campus tours • Continuing candidate list management
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Coordinate annual admission process, including review of applications, arrangements for admission processÂ

Participate in recruitment, screening and selection of prospective studentsÂ

Plan, organize and coordinate the program’s recruitment/marketing activitiesÂ

Assist the Program Director in the coordination and production of information related to program accreditation to ensure ARC-PA standards are met  Â

Assist the Program Director in preparing documentation for accreditation

Serve on the College’s Assessment Committee

Work/liaise with personnel in various University offices and departments
-
Extraction of data from multiple sources (e.g. assessment platforms, databases, ExamSoft, learning management systems, course materials and assignments), measures that are both formative and summative in nature, and that involve internal and external stakeholders, including faculty, students, staff, preceptors, administrators, and alumni

In-depth data collection and comparisons to aggregate data from other accredited ARC-PA programs, as well as to a peer group of colleges, and periodic self-assessments of compliance with accreditation standards must be managed in a timely fashion in order to foster continuous quality improvement

Administrative and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Director

This position works with discipline-specific recruitment software programs and in the University’s enterprise system.  They work directly with the program director and also works closely with the University’s Office of Admissions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Required

Master’s Degree
-
Good attention to detail
-
Organizational and logistical skills for coordinating ongoing continuous improvement efforts

Firm understanding of data literacy
-
Technical expertise for data extraction and assessment system design
-
Management and critical analysis
-
Effective oral and written communication to solicit data and share analytic findings and interpretations among stakeholders
-
Experience with setting up assessment platforms
-
Competence in Excel and Google applications
-
Knowledge and application of best practices research in assessment for learning
-
Strong interpersonal skills, including good oral and written communication abilities
Preferred
- Master’s Degree Preferably in a field related to data science
- Admissions experience
- Higher education experience
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
- Occasional nights and weekends to cover admissions events
