Thomas Jefferson University seeks to fill positions for adjunct human anatomy instructors for our graduate level gross anatomy dissection labs across multiple campuses. Candidates must have expertise in human anatomy and the ability to teach in a cadaver-based gross anatomy lab. The educational responsibilities of this position will include guiding students through dissections and identification of cadaveric materials so previous experience in a gross anatomy lab is necessary. Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a collaborative teaching environment. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not necessary. Pre-employment background check is required. Gross Anatomy Adjunct Instructor/East Falls PA; Voorhees NJ duties include, teaching in master level cadaver based gross anatomy labs on the East Falls, PA and/or Voorhees, NJ campuses for the Physician Assistant Program. This position will be primarily lab based guiding students through the dissection and identification of anatomical structures on human cadavers. Other duties related to the course include, set up and proctoring of lab practical’s, leading study sessions and evaluating assignments for the graduate level gross anatomy course. This position runs 5 days a week mid-July through mid-August and then 2 days a week through the Fall semester (mid-August-mid-December).

Job Description

  • Teaching in cadaver based gross anatomy labs on the East Falls, PA and/or Voorhees, NJ campuses for the Physician Assistant Program
  • Guiding students through the dissection and identification of anatomical structures on human cadavers
  • Set up and proctoring of lab practical’s
  • Leading study and review sessions, facilitating active learning sessions, and evaluating assignments for a graduate level gross anatomy course
  • Candidates must have expertise in human anatomy and the ability to teach in a cadaver-based gross anatomy lab.
  • Candidates must have earned a master’s or doctoral degree
  • Decisions are made within the limits of clearly established policies, procedures, or instructions.
