Contract Physician Assistant ( PA-C ) – Cardiac Surgery
GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant for a 13 -26-week contract in the Philadelphia, PA Metro Area. The Physician Assistant will join a large team of CT Surgeon’s and PA-Cs within nationally recognized cardiac surgery programs. GHR is supporting several hospitals in the city of Philadelphia and surrounding suburbs!
Job Details
· : $ 100-125/HR
· Hospital – Cardiovascular Surgery / CTICU
· ASAP
· Multiple Shift Options, working 12 hour days or nights; 36 hours per week is highly preferred, but willing to accept folks who can commit to at least 6 shifts monthly
· 13-week contract; option to extend
Job Requirements
· Valid Pennsylvania License as a Physician Assistant
· 3 years of clinical experience as a first assist during cardiovascular surgery OR working within the CTICU with post cardiac surgery patients
· ACLS
· Clinical skills required include:
o Pulling Epicardial Wires, Chest Tubes
o Vein Harvesting
o Must be proficient in EVH and First Assist
o Endoscopic radial artery harvest experience HIGHLY preferred
Responsibilities
· Provide patient care on hospital floor before and after cardiac surgery
· First assist in the operating room during cardiovascular surgery
· Conduct beside procedures as needed
· Hospitals rounds
