Job title: Physician Assistant
Reports to: Medical Director
Position Summary:
The Physician Assistant will be working at the Montgomery County Recovery Center (MCRC) within Resources for Human Development (RHD). The Physician Assistant will be responsible for the provision of medical services to patients under the supervision and guidance of the Medical Director. The position is for at least 16 hours per week, with schedule flexibility between Monday-Saturday, 5am-12pm.
Essential Duties and Functions:
Direct Care:
  • Perform physicals and collect medical data and history on all patients.
  • Perform initial and follow up assessments of health status.
  • Dispense required medications as needed including but not limited to injections and schedule II narcotics.
  • Observation of medicating patients for behavioral changes, medical symptoms, drug abuse or instability.
Medication Monitoring and Review:
  • Monitor medical treatment of all patients for referral to medical Director.
Administrative:
  • Record patient data in record to be co-signed by physician according to regulations.
  • Plan and implement medical standards.
  • Provide medical audits of patient records.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree from a program accredited by the APC-PA.
  • Minimum 2 years direct patient care preferred.
  • Licensed/Certified as a Physician Assistant with NCCPA and State.
  • Medication Assistance Treatment Experience preferred.

Program Summary:
Montgomery County Recovery Center (MCRC) is a program within Resources for Human Development that is a licensed Narcotic Treatment Program providing medication assisted treatment for opiate addiction in conjunction with counseling and supportive services. **Counseling plus HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis (TB) testing is provided to all clinic clients.
