Full Job Description
THMA MG Surgical Associates Langhorne & St. Mary Medical Center is looking for a locum to assist with Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage.
Dates of Coverage: Per diem
Practice Setting: THMA Cardiothoracic Surgery Langhorne. Mostly hospital based.
Schedule (Shifts/Hours): 7a – 5p plus on call hours. Must be able to do weekends at least once per month.
Call Schedule: Occasional weekday coverage with on call
Call Ratio: 1:3
Average Number of Patients Per Day: Varies
Documentation System/EMR: Epic
Will APP be Working Autonomously? No Supervising Physician Present During Assignment?:
Must have at least two years Cardiothoracic training.Must be able to perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial harvest.
Patient Age Demographic: Adult and Geriatric
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 2-4 weeks
Provider Must be Local – Only Mileage is Reimbursed

- Pre-Op Physical Exams
- Suture Removal
- Diagnose Illnesses
- Treat Illnesses
- Order Tests
- Interpret Tests
- Assist in Surgery
- Write Prescriptions
- Coordination of Care
- Rounding
- Chest Tube Insertions
- Endoscopic Retrieval
Requirements
- Board Certified – Active PA licensure – REQUIRED
- Active PA License – REQUIRED
- ACLS and BLS – REQUIRED
- Provider Must be Local – REQUIRED
