Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our medical team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with our physicians to provide high-quality patient care to urgent care and occupational medicine client. Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and review of symptoms- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician- Administer medications, including injections- Perform procedures such as wound care, suture removal, and casting, training provided.- Provide patient education on various health topics, including medication administration, disease management, and preventive care- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Experience:- Previous experience working as a Physician Assistant in urgent /acute care setting preferred- Proficiency in medical terminology and standards of care- Familiarity with occupational health practices and regulations- Experience with ICD-9 coding and documentation requirements- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate patients on health-related topics-DOT certification is a plus
