Job Title: Physician AssistantReports To: Clinical Services Manager or Director of Nursing
Overview:SwiftCare Urgent Care Clinic is seeking a skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our esteemed healthcare team. Reporting to the Clinical Services Manager or Director of Nursing, the Physician Assistant will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and blood work.
- Perform therapeutic procedures such as immunizations, injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
- Exercise professional judgment regarding consultations concerning appropriate treatment.
- Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress.
- Prescribe medications within the scope allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
- Provide general health education on topics including proper diet, family planning, emotional well-being, and health maintenance.
Education / License Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in physician assistant studies or related field.
- Valid Oregon Physician Assistant license.
- Current certification from the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Completion of education from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA).
- Successful completion of the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE).
- Current DEA License.
Experience:
- Minimum of (2) years of previous experience working as a physician assistant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform tasks associated with a Physician Assistant role, such as standing and walking for extensive periods, lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 lbs.
- Requires correct vision and hearing within normal range.
- Must be able to work under stress in emergency situations and occasionally involve irregular working hours.

Pay: $121,000.00 – $131,000.00 per year
