PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE – MAXEM HEALTH URGENT CARE
Job Summary: Maxem Health is looking for a part time Physician Assistant to work at our Lake Oswego location in Lake Oswego, OR. The PA will be responsible for providing personable and compassionate medical care to the patients of Maxem Health Urgent Care.
Location : Lake Oswego, OR and Milwaukie, OR
Anticipated Start Date: January 2025

Position Responsibilities:
- Family Care Services, such as Allergies; Asthma; Bladder Infections; Bronchitis & Pneumonia; Cold & Cough; Headaches & Migraine; Sore Throat; Ear Infections; Fever; Flu Treatment, Flu Shots; Pink Eye; STD Testing, Rashes, School & Sports Physicals; Pre-Employment Physicals; Upper Respiratory Infection; and Urinary Tract Infection.
- Services related to injury and extensive care, such as Burns; Cuts & Scrapes; Fractures & Dislocations; Sprains & Strains; Laceration Repair; Abscess & Cysts; and Foreign Body Removal.
- Other services, such as X-Ray; Rapid Strep & Flu Testing; Pregnancy Testing; Drug Testing; Ear Irrigation.
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
- Conducting physical examinations and interpreting medical history.
- Ordering and performing diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Prescribing pharmacologic treatments.
- Counseling and educating patients about preventive measures to avoid illness.
- Other duties as assigned.
- MUST BE COMFORTABLE & PROFICIENT AT SUTURING, I&D, AND OTHER VARIOUS COMMON URGENT CARE PROCEDURES.
Position Requirements:
- BSN, RN, master’s degree from an accredited nursing program, and state licensure required.
- Easy to work with, dependable, and motivated. Working in a team is essential to the success of our providers.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, high patient volume environment.
- The provider must be extremely personable and compassionate who must be able to establish and develop patient relationship as well as maintaining/facilitating a strong work environment.
- Knowledge in handling urgent care procedures is necessary, including but not limited to sprains, strains, abscess drainage, foreign body removal, casting, lacerations, suturing, etc.
- DOT certified or willing to complete DOT certification within first 3 months of employment.
- Must be licensed to treat adults and children
- Must be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield
