Full Job Description
- Inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of patients with various cardiovascular disorders
- Management of patients pre and post procedures
- Assists in generation of order sets and other tools to facilitate best practices
- Performance and supervision of cardiac stress tests _
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of team members (faculty/physicians, APPs, RN, MA, researchers) and other members of the Cardiology team and other care providers and coordinators to provide excellent team based care
- Performs and documents assessments and data collection in an ongoing, timely, accurate, concise and systematic manner.
- Delegates and coordinates tasks and duties of the healthcare team.
- Promotes accident prevention and reports potential safety hazards.
- Renders all services promptly and diligently in accordance with professional and ethical standards of the medical community in which the APP practices.
Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job:
- Adapts care to accommodate unexpected changes in patient status.
Decision making and budget responsibilities (e.g. impact limited to the employee, entire unit or organization-wide):
- Impact limited to employee.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Prior APP and Cardiology experience. Prior Cardiac Device experience.
- Current Oregon Board of Medical Examiners, unencumbered Physician Assistant or Oregon State Board of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner License.
- Fulfills requirements of hospital medical staff credentialing process.
- Maintains active staff membership in good standing with the medical staff of the hospital with all privileges and responsibilities accorded such membership.

- Bilingual skills a plus: English and Spanish
