Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team as a Talk Therapy Specialist.

In this role, you will provide individual talk therapy sessions to residents of skilled nursing facilities, helping them manage emotional and psychological challenges, improve mental health, and enhance overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual talk therapy sessions with residents.
  • Assess and evaluate residents’ mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Provide support and counseling to residents dealing with emotional, psychological, or social issues.
  • Monitor and document residents’ progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
  • Educate residents and their families on mental health issues and coping strategies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuing education opportunities.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in OR state.
  • Certification in Psychiatry or Mental Health is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in providing talk therapy or counseling in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
