Urgent need for a Physician Assistant specializing in Surgery
Schedule Expectations: OR – 7:00a-3:45p; Inpatient Rounding 7:15a-3:45p – Monday through Friday
Procedures: – Pulling Epicardial Wires, Chest Tubes, Vein Harvesting, and MUST be proficient in EVH and First Assist. Radial artery harvest experience
Duties
- Perform surgical procedures on patients, including general surgery, pediatrics, and specialized surgeries.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments and consultations to determine the best surgical approach for each patient.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes during surgery.
- Monitor patients post-operatively to manage recovery and address any complications.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including coding for procedures performed.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding post-operative care and recovery plans.
- Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to stay updated on advancements in surgical techniques and technologies.
- Engage in hospice palliative medicine when necessary to support patients with serious illnesses.
Must have OR state active license.
