Pediatric Audiologist – Part Time / PRN Pool

Location: Beaverton OR | Start Date: Summer 2026

soundSTART is a non-profit center offering hearing care for children and young adults using cochlear implants and hearing aids, and their families. We are seeking to create a pool of Pediatric Audiologists to provide pediatric audiology services to families on a part-time/as-needed basis at our Beaverton location.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Audiology (AuD)
  • Licensure: Oregon audiology license
  • Experience: At least two years as a pediatric audiologist
  • Membership: Member of at least one professional organization
  • Skills/Qualities:
  • Excellent communication skills and a growth mindset.
  • Solid time management and organization.
  • Self-motivated and independent.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Audiology:

  • See pediatric patients in the Beaverton office. Other locations may be added based on demand.
  • Provide a range of screening and diagnostic hearing evaluations for children birth to 26 presenting with a range of developmental capabilities.
  • Evaluate hearing using VRA, CPA, ABR, OAE, immittance.
  • Analyze test results and make recommendations for communication, educational and cognitive development, and implications for family, staff, medical and educational providers.
  • Communicate in a manner that meets the age and/or educational levels of the child, family, and relevant partners.
  • Provided limited services for children who are D/HH (established patients).
  • Troubleshoot/check hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone conduction hearing devices, and/or assistive listening devices.
  • Counsel families on hearing device use, care, maintenance, and realistic expectations.

Administrative:

  • Use CounselEar for documentation, coding, and billing.
  • Assist in the maintenance of all clinic equipment, space, and supplies.
  • Document screening and diagnostic testing to the Oregon Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program.
  • Provide referrals to appropriate health care and education specialists.
  • Advocate for high-quality hearing care for children throughout Oregon.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $45-65 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • 100% of liability insurance for soundSTART work.
  • Accrued sick time.
  • Eligibility for Oregon Saves Individual Retirement Account (IRA).
  • Eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.

Pay: $45.00 – $65.00 per hour
