Invictus Healthcare System is a multi-specialty private clinic committed to providing exceptional, patient-centered care. Our neurosurgeon, along with the Invictus Spine Team, have access to in-house diagnostic tools, such as MRI, DEXA, etc., to ensure accurate diagnosis of patient’s conditions. The team works in collaboration with physical therapy, pain management, and others to ensure the best in care. Invictus is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic Spine Team in either a full or part time capacity based on the PA’s preference.
Job Summary:We are looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) to support our neurosurgeon as a part of the Invictus Spine Team. In this position, the PA will provide patient care in the clinical setting on either a part or full time basis. The PA will not be required to provide surgical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care: Conduct detailed patient assessments, including medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests (e.g., MRIs, DEXA, etc.) in order to develop the appropriate treatment plan for each individual patient. Refer surgical patients to the neurosurgeon or other surgeons as necessary. Perform follow-ups, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation of patient assessments, progress notes and treatment plans in the EHR. Ensure all records are in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Patient Education and Counseling: Counsel patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and lifestyle changes to improve long-term outcomes. Explain risks, benefits, and expected outcomes of procedures in an understandable way.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the neurosurgeon, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Participate in team meetings and case discussions to contribute to care plans and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certification and current state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and families.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centered care.
