Full Job Description
Radiology Consultants, P.C. is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join a hospital-based radiology team. The PA will work under the supervision of radiologists to perform fluoroscopic exams. This role is predominantly procedure-based but does also have components of patient evaluation, imaging interpretation, and patient education. No experience required, onsite training will be provided. Employment provided by the radiology group, not the hospital.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform fluoroscopic examination and procedures.
- Evaluate patients for radiology services and obtain informed consents.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests to support the procedures performed.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, risks, aftercare, and follow-up requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and referring providers to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and state/federal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current state PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- New graduates are welcome
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
