About the Role:We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our small private neurology practice specializing in the diagnosis and management of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) and neurological diagnostic testing, including EMG (Electromyography) and NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies). This role is ideal for a PA or Nurse Practitioner with strong clinical skills, an interest in neurology and learning NCS, and a desire to work in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with traumatic brain injuries under best practice standards. The employee will be educated in this.
- Perform and interpret NCS testing under physician supervision. The employee will be educated in this.
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Document findings and maintain accurate patient records in accordance with practice standards
- Provide patient education on injury, recovery, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other medical professionals to optimize outcomes
- Stay current with best practices in TBI care and neuromuscular diagnostics
Qualifications:
- Current Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner license in Oklahoma and NCCPA certification
- Graduate of an accredited PA/Nurse Practitioner program
- Prior experience in neurology, physical medicine & rehabilitation, or pain management preferred but not required.
- A desire to learn NCS testing.
- Excellent diagnostic, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of clinical judgment and ability to work independently when appropriate
Preferred Experience:
- Experience managing patients with post-concussive symptoms.
- Familiarity with medical documentation.
