Full Job Description

We are looking for an additional provider to help our Doctor with his EDS (Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome) Patients. This is a rare genetic disease and Dr. David Chorley is the only provider in this region that is treating these patients.

In-house education and training would definitely play a part in learning more about the disease states and how to treat them. This is a very rewarding position and patients are desperate for help.

You would be assisting Dr. Chorley by seeing his patient base and building close relationships of your own with these patients. Dr. Chorley is booked out over a month and cannot keep up with the demand.

Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team- Prescribe medications and order appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and treatment options- Perform esthetic laser treatments for cosmetic purposes- Perform gastric lavage for emergency situations- Provide specialized care in ophthalmology and DME (Durable Medical Equipment)- Ensure accurate coding for billing and reimbursement purposes- Administer basic life support in emergency situations- Utilize Cerner or other electronic health record systems for documentation and communication- Perform venipuncture for blood draws and other diagnostic procedures- Provide health coaching to promote healthy lifestyle choices

Skills:- Strong knowledge and experience in esthetic laser treatment techniques- Proficient in performing gastric lavage procedures- Expertise in providing specialized care in ophthalmology and DME- Familiarity with coding practices for accurate billing and reimbursement- Certification in basic life support (BLS)- Proficiency in using Cerner or other electronic health record systems- Skillful in performing venipuncture for blood draws and diagnostic procedures- Ability to provide effective health coaching to patients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54.68 – $62.00 per hour
