Physician Assistant (PA) – Regenerative Medicine

NexGenesis Regenerative Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and compassionate healthcare provider with a strong background in regenerative medicine, particularly in the treatment of joint pain and nerve conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Evaluation and Diagnosis:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including detailed medical history, physical examination, and review of diagnostic imaging (X-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs).
  • Perform thorough assessments of musculoskeletal and neurological systems to identify the root cause of patient symptoms.
  • Accurately diagnose conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendinopathies, ligament injuries, neuropathy, and chronic pain syndromes.
  • Evaluate and document patient’s pain levels, functional limitations, and overall health status.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies and advanced imaging, as needed.
  • Analyze and correlate patient history, physical findings, and diagnostic results to formulate accurate diagnoses.

Treatment Planning:

  • Develop individualized treatment plans, including PRP therapy, bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC), and Alpha-2-Macroglobulin (A2M) injections, and other regenerative procedures.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, risks, and benefits.
  • Collaborate with the supervising physician to determine the most appropriate treatment strategy for each patient.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Procedural Skills:

  • Perform a variety of procedures, including:
  • Blood draws and PRP preparation
  • Bone marrow aspirations from the cervical, lumbar, and knee areas
  • Joint injections (e.g., knee, shoulder, hip)
  • Ultrasound-guided procedures
  • Maintain proficiency in sterile technique and infection control protocols.
  • Manage and address any complications or adverse reactions during or after procedures.

Image Interpretation:

  • Analyze X-rays and ultrasound images to guide treatment planning and procedure performance.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and pathology as visualized through imaging.

Patient Care:

  • Provide compassionate and empathetic patient care, addressing concerns and answering questions.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Reassure patients during procedures and manage any potential discomfort.
  • Provide post-procedure instructions and follow-up care.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with patients regarding their treatment progress.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Adhere to all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and state-specific regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and quality control measures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of Ohio.
  • Experience in regenerative medicine or orthopedics preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, including physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Proficiency in procedural skills, such as blood draws, injections, and ultrasound guidance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
