Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) – Neurology

- Start date: ASAP pending training and credentialing
- Schedule: 6p-6a (12-hr shift – nights) – 7 on 7 off or 4, 12-hr shifts one week, followed by 3, 12-hr shifts the next week
- Salary Range: Commensurate with experience

- Call Schedule: n/a
- Call Ratio: n/a
- Patient population: Adult: 100%
- Trauma: 40%
- Inpatient: 100%
- Average Number of Hospital-Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: avg census in Neuro ICU is 10pts, Neurosurgery consults avg 5/night
- No other Neurologists be Present During Locum’s Assignment
- 2 neuro intensivists in group and they will be available by phone at nights
- 3Advanced Practice Providers in Group
- Lab Onsite & Xray on site
- Typical level 1 trauma set up
- Documentation System/EMR: Epic
- Trauma Level/Designation: level 1 trauma, comprehensive stroke
Minimum Qualifications if Nurse Practitioner – NP:
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (PA or CNP licensed in Ohio) – REQUIRED
- Active OH license (willing to accept those who will obtain) – REQUIRED
- BLS, ACLS – REQUIRED
- ENLS – Highly preferred
- Must be comfortable covering a neuro ICU in a level 1 trauma center. Experience working with stroke patients. – REQUIRED
- APC that can cover a level 1 trauma center neuro ICU (16 beds) at night. This candidate will also cover neurosurgical consults at night – REQUIRED
