Advance Practice provider Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled advance practice provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry, with experience in outpatient settings. As an advance practice provider, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing and implementing treatment plans for patients with various psychiatric conditions. Your expertise in psychiatry will be essential in ensuring desirable patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Provide acute care services to patients, including emergency interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and medication adherence.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using appropriate coding practices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care services.
- Assist in ventilating patients when required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant Studies or related field from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant certification and state licensure.
- Experience working in outpatient facilities is preferred.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding practices for accurate documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to make sound clinical decisions under pressure.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $129,830.00 – $180,000.00 per year
