Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Participate in didactic curriculum planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Participate in the evaluation of student performance and remediation throughout the entire academic program.
- Participate in the review and revision of academic policies and procedures as needed.
- Participate as a “team instructor” for courses as assigned.
- Participate in the admissions process that includes recruitment, application screening and selection of students.
- Assist with program self-evaluation, that includes policy and curriculum review.
- Provide student advising.
- Participate in activities of state, regional and national organizations concerned with the profession to promote a positive image of the PA concept within the academic, lay, and professional communities.
- Assist with the management of data bases and evaluation of data associated with the educational program.
- Assist the Program Director in providing periodic reports as required and requested to the Dean, school, university/college divisions and departments, accrediting agencies and to other outside agencies.
- Engage in interdepartmental activities which promote the interest of the program.
- Attend and participate in interdepartmental committee meetings
- Attend and participate in collegewide faculty development programing
- Assist with program research/grant writing activities concerning the PA profession and education.
- Perform other functions in support of the program as requested by the Program Director.
- Represent the program at university/college and other organizational academic and/or social functions.
- Attend meetings of professional organizations and/or societies.
- Remain clinically active and current in the practice of medicine.
- Maintain current NCCPA certification.
- OSCE and H&P Coordinator
- Coordinate and schedule H&P practice labs
- Coordinate and schedule H&P skills check-off labs
- Coordinate and schedule OSCE practice sessions
- Coordinate and schedule OSCE exam schedule and adjunct faculty
- Administer and oversee OSCE exam and proctors
- Coordinate OSCE grading and student feedback
- Organize and provide remediation of H&P and OSCE skills as needed
- ExamSoft Administrator
- Participate in continued software training opportunities
- Administer question bank organization
- Train faculty in the process of question entry/upload
- Train faculty in the process of categorizing questions
- Train faculty in the process of exam evaluation and adjustment
- Train faculty in the process of saving exam reports
- Generate programmatic reports
