Your Role at HEUC
As a valued team member, you’ll:
- Order evidence-based testing, prescribe medications, and refer to outside specialists as required.
- Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT exams and the treatment of Workers’ Compensation injuries.
- Perform pre-participation physicals for camps, sports, and employment.
- Utilize a telemedicine platform to evaluate and treat patients off-site, in addition to providing in-person care.
- Provide an authenticated report of all services rendered and maintain accurate and complete records in an acceptable manner.
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication to facilitate patient care and appropriate reimbursement.
- Maintain patient charts accurately and comprehensively.
- Be self-directed and self-motivated; have good communication, interpersonal skills and work independently.
- Be able to see a high volume of patients.
- Be experienced with pediatric patients and procedures.
- Convey empathy and compassion to those experiencing pain, physical or emotional distress, and/or grief.
- Communicate effectively with people from every socioeconomic, cultural, and educational background.
- Participate in activities that enhance professional development, complete and maintain certification in BLS or ACLS (ATLS, PALS, or NALS optional), and maintain any additional specialty training/certifications as required by the area assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Current State License
- DEA Certification
- ACLS/BLS Certification
- Experience in urgent care or emergency care is preferred but not required.
