Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Nurse Practitioner needed for a busy practice in the Dayton area. Minimal to no weekends. Daytime work hours.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy practice. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
Duties
- Perform evaluation and treatment of wounds in both the inpatient and outpatient setting
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy consultations and treatment supervision at an outpatient wound care center
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Utilize ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses and procedures.
- Provide education to patients.
- Perform bedside debridements and other minor procedures
- Order and interpret medical imaging studies to assist in diagnosis.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Proven experience in prescribing medications and patient care.
- Wound Care and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy experience preferred but can train if needed
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and medical imaging interpretation.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for accurate medical record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,984.00 per year
