Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner) – Psychiatry
We are currently inviting applications for a highly qualified and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our esteemed healthcare team. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in psychiatric care, preferably within an outpatient clinical setting, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient-centered treatment.
In this role, the provider will be responsible for conducting thorough clinical assessments, formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of optimal psychiatric care. The candidate’s clinical expertise, professionalism, and compassionate approach will be integral to achieving positive health outcomes for our patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments, including detailed physical examinations and medical histories
- Develop and implement evidence-based, individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs of each patient
- Provide timely and effective acute care services, including emergency interventions when warranted
- Collaborate with attending physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, and allied healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families regarding psychiatric diagnoses, treatment plans, medication regimens, and preventive care strategies
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all clinical interactions in accordance with standard coding practices, including ICD-9
- Monitor patient progress over time and modify treatment strategies as clinically indicated
- Participate in institutional quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing care delivery and patient satisfaction
- Assist in patient ventilation procedures as required, ensuring adherence to established safety and clinical protocols
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited academic institution
- Current certification and unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Prior experience in outpatient psychiatric care is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and ICD-9 coding standards
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment
- Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong emphasis on patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Proven critical thinking capabilities and sound clinical judgment under pressure
- A commitment to providing compassionate, equitable, and culturally competent care to a diverse patient population

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $70.00 – $90.00 per hour
